The Rideau Canal, now in the Guinness Book of Records as the Longest Skating Rink in the World, is located only one block from the hotel. The Rink of Dreams located at City Hall, just across the street from the hotel, is also open and a great hit!

If you are into skiing or snowboarding, there are SO many options for you in the Ottawa-Gatineau region. From beginner-friendly and challenging cross-country ski trails to exciting downhill ski and snowboard centres, we have it all! In the Ottawa region, you can choose from Sir John A Macdonald Winter Trail, which snakes along the Ottawa River, just west of downtown. Or head out to Mooney’s Bay Ski Centre and the numerous routes along Ottawa’s Greenbelt.

Steps away you can also enjoy the best shopping Ottawa has to offer – the Rideau Centre, just one block from the hotel and the Byward Market, which is full of boutiques and speciality stores to find that unique item. Dine in the hotel at FortyOne Restaurant & Bar, or try one of the many restaurants and eateries located on or near Elgin Street and in the Byward Market, the Glebe or Westboro… all very popular with foodies!
