I had an interview with the director of banquets and the director of the restaurant, started just as a volunteer and then was hired.”
“This past year I have learned a lot. When I came and started my job at the hotel, I had no experience in hospitality at all. I used to work at Walmart before… That was a great experience and I would never regret that experience at all. Since then, I have grown and learned a lot from the servers. I have learned so much from the people that have been here for 10, 15 to 20 years, seeing them working here and observing them. I have gained great skills from them, and in the past year I have been improving. Until now, I wouldn’t say that I am perfect, but I am a lot better and more experienced than when I first started.”
