Canada Day 2019

There is no where like Ottawa to celebrate Canada’s Birthday Party and staying at the Lord Elgin Hotel, along Ottawa’s Ceremonial boulevard, is perfect! With Lord Elgin being half the age Canada is, we know a thing or two about how to create excitement and memories for our visitors.

Jazz Festival:

Did you know admission to the Jazz Festival is FREE on Canada Day.  Just across the street from the Lord Elgin Hotel, you can take in world class performers all day long at no charge!  At the hotel from June 22nd to July 2nd, with the exception of July 1, the hotel hosts the Jazz Jam Sessions in Grill 41 with free admission.  Staring at 10:30pm each night

Canada Day Events on Parliament Hill:

10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

WELCOME: Starting the morning off with the changing of the guards, followed by Carillon Concert featuring the Peace Tower .

12:00.m. –  1:4 p.m.

Canada Day Noon Show:  Experience the thrill of Canada’s Snowbirds and cheer on the performers.  Join the party on Parliament Hill and celebrate Canada’s birthday!

 6:45 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Major Hill patrons will interact with the Connecting the Dots Discovery Experience and CTD Activators who will be highlighting promising practices from coast to coast among our Black communities through digital stories

The Lord Elgin restaurant, Grill 41 will maintain regular hours on Canada Day! Just for this wonderful celebration, we have created a special Canada Day menu for our guest to try! Hope to see you there.
