When you make a reservation with the Lord Elgin Hotel, we guarantee the lowest rate available for our hotel that day for the dates of your stay. If you find a lower rate for our hotel for the same reservation dates, room type and booking conditions, we’ll match it.*

Find a better rate after you’ve booked with us? We’ll refund the difference.

After you’ve made your reservation, if you find a lower rate for our hotel for the same type of rate that you booked, we will refund you the difference.* You can look anywhere. Look online at other websites, call your travel agent or even double check our site direct. Our guarantee is good for all guestroom reservations until the 24 hrs prior to your arrival.

You can rest assured that you will always pay the lowest rate available for our property. Period.

Terms & Conditions

  1. The original reservations must be made directly through a Lord Elgin reservation channel (either through our telephone reservation line or on our website). Reservations made through other parties do not qualify for this guarantee.
  2. Rate comparison will be made net of any taxes, gratuities, or any other fees associated with the room rate. Rate disparities solely attributable to fluctuations and/or differences in currency exchange rates are excluded from the guarantee.
  3. The lower rate must still be available at the time the Lord Elgin validates the claim. The Lord Elgin Reservations Department must be able to directly verify the lower rate either by viewing the website on which it is advertised or talking directly with the travel agent who is quoting the lower rate.
  4. The lower rate must be found and identified to the Lord Elgin reservations department earlier than 24 hours prior to arrival. The Best Rate Guarantee does not apply to lower rates found later than 24 hours prior to arrival. Arrival is defined as the hotel’s published check-in time on the date of the reservation (i.e 15h00 ET).
  5. The guarantee does not apply to the following rate types:
    • Rates that are not publicly available (such as negotiated corporate or group rates).
    • Discount rates offered only to members of groups or individuals who meet previously-specified criteria (including AAA members, seniors, government employees).
    • Package rates that include the room and other components such as travel, car rental, entertainment, and/or meals.
    • Package or group add-on rates that extend the length of a stay.
    • Rates negotiated for stays extending beyond 30 nights.
    • Rates that are available on auction Web sites.
    • Rates available on Web sites, such as Priceline and Hotwire, that do not disclose the hotel brand until the reservation is completed.
    • Pre-paid rates that involve a voucher or other form of pre-paid certificate (including electronic vouchers and certificates).
  6. The lower rate must apply to the same hotel room type and reservation dates as your original reservation.
  7. The same cancellation and advance purchase policies, and other terms and conditions governing the rates must apply.
  8. If the lower rate is offered directly by the Lord Elgin through one of our reservation channels, you must reserve that rate to qualify for the guarantee. Any cancellation or change penalties applicable to the original reservation will be applied when the new rate is reserved.
  9. If the original reservation is reserved through a non-Lord Elgin channel, the Lord Elgin is not responsible for any fees or other costs incurred due to cancellation of a reservation.
  10. When claiming for multiple nights, the rates will be compared for each night separately.
  11. Void where prohibited by law. Lord Elgin reserves the right to modify or cancel the guarantee at any time without prior notice.
